Quartz Electric was founded by a licensed Master Electrician to ensure electrical work is done right the first time, even the little things that some businesses refuse to spend resources to correct. We’re proud of our reputation and eager to share how we built it.
2017
Beginning
Founder Tre King began his electrical journey with Atwood Electric of Sigourney, IA, performing work mainly with solar installations and commercial repairs.
2018-2021
Schooling
Over four years, our founder attended trade school with “Associated Builders and Contractors of Iowa.”
2022-2023
Licensing
Our founder quickly acquired his Journeyman license, then acquiring his Master license a year later.
2026
Founding
After nearly 10 years of work for another company, the opportunity arose to begin an electrical company of his own. As of February 2026, Quartz Electric was born.
